Tracy McGeagh - Family Law AttorneyOf Counsel

Tracy is a Southern California native who has over 20 years of legal and mediation experience.

Tracy spent the first 16 years of her legal career at prominent law firms where she handled a wide range of matters for large corporate clients. Her responsibilities at these firms included managing all aspects of litigation and trial preparation, and advising clients on an array of legal topics, including employment discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, and trade secret protection. She also obtained extensive experience drafting legal documents, including employment contracts, employee handbooks, and policies, as well as consulting, non-compete, and severance agreements.

In 2009, Tracy joined Wendy R. Landes Family Law & Mediation, where she resolved family law cases through non-litigation alternatives such as mediation, collaborative law, and settlement. She led clients through the mediation process, filed and prepared marriage dissolution documents, stipulated judgments of dissolution, parenting plans, and pre-nuptial and co-habitation agreements. When this practice closed due to the founder’s passing, Tracy joined Ellis Law Partners, LLP, where she represented clients in a wide array of real estate matters. These included documenting and closing commercial loan transactions (such as construction loans, bridge loans, and lines of credit), title insurance and UCC matters, and the drafting of loan agreements, promissory notes, deeds of trust, indemnity agreements, guaranties, tenant estoppel, and assignments.

After nearly 10 years of practicing real estate law, Tracy realized her true passion lies with family law and chose to return to it by joining us at Berenji & Associates. Her years of family law experience, combined with her extensive knowledge of real estate and other practice areas that are often intertwined with our client’s cases, ensure she is able to help them achieve the most favorable resolutions.

Tracy earned her J.D. from Loyola Law School, Order of the Coif, in 1993; and received her B.A. from UCLA, Magna Cum Laude, in 1987. She firmly believes in giving back to the community and does so through involvement in a variety of non-profit causes, such as educational outreach and OPCC. With her husband Rick, she has raised three children.
